Description
I have always enjoyed watching a flag blow in the wind and after the September 11th. terrorist attack, I was motivated to capture the USA flag with oil paint on canvas. I like the way the sunshine and shadows shine through the flag and constantly change, and the way the shape of the stripes constantly change as it waves in the breeze. To actually paint this painting was an interesting study of painting shape and space as it really is and not what I think it is. God Bless America!
