Julia has wanted to do a cafe series since moving into her gallery space, which is right above the Prince Street Cafe, a few years ago. In Latte Conversation, the warm glow of street lights reflecting in the window light up the cafe, while the red tones add to the warmth. Patrons seem engaged in intimate conversation, while enjoying their coffee in this evening scene. Painted with a palette knife, the heavy texture adds to the vibrancy of the scene.
